About the Role

As a Pet Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets in our clients' homes. Your role is crucial in ensuring the health, happiness, and well-being of the animals under your supervision, while also offering peace of mind to their owners. You will engage in various activities that promote a positive and nurturing environment for pets, including feeding, walking, grooming, and providing companionship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.

  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for all pets by maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness in their living areas.

  • Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and communicate findings to pet owners or veterinarians as needed.

  • Engage in playtime and exercise routines that stimulate and enrich the pets’ physical and mental health.

  • Maintain detailed records of care routines, behaviors, and any special needs of each pet for follow-up communication with owners.

  • Build positive relationships with both pets and their owners by demonstrating compassion, reliability, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pet care, animal handling, or a related field is preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in pet care, veterinary assistant, or animal behavior is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of pet behavior and health needs.

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Compassionate and patient attitude towards animals, demonstrating love and care.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of basic first aid for pets.

  • Experience with different types of animals beyond cats and dogs, such as birds, reptiles, or rodents.
